Christina Nolan LCSW, mANHATTAN THERAPIST, COUNSELING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY IN NYC MIDTOWN MA

CHRISTINA NOLAN, LCSW-R

I have a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University School of Social Work, where I had a concentration in health, mental health, and disabilities. My postgraduate training includes the Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the William Alanson White Institute. I have also received additional training in dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing.

After obtaining my MSW from Columbia, I worked in multiple hospital and non-profit settings, all in New York City. Initially, I worked on an inpatient unit with people who experienced traumatic injuries and acute illnesses. I then worked for several years in behavioral health settings, both inpatient and outpatient, with people diagnosed with severe mental illness. I have worked in supervisory and ultimately leadership capacities in behavioral health settings for over 5 years, supervising clinicians in multiple disciplines in working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness.

My postgraduate professional experience has provided me with opportunities to work with individuals having diverse backgrounds and experiences. I have worked with refugees, first generation Americans, people who have experienced domestic violence, victims of violent crime, people involved in severe accidents, LGBTQ+ individuals, and survivors of childhood trauma.
